Groundworks & Drainage

Probably the single most important aspect of the pitch construction lies below grass level. The stone base and drainage form the basis for a long lasting and functional Synthetic pitch.

JNC Premier Pitches will excavate the site to a suitable level using a laser fitted bulldozer operated by an in-house groundworks team. Once the site is stripped, the first layer will be laid which consists of 50mm clean crushed stone. Once this is levelled, the drains are excavated laterally across the pitch and linked to a larger pitch side drain and then to a manhole or soak pit depending on site specific conditions.

After drains are installed, the final two layers can be added consisting of 804 and a final dust layer which is finished to perfection using a laser fitted bulldozer. A laser fitted bulldozer ensures that all necessary falls on the pitch are achieved to prevent water lodging at any point on the pitch and ensure play-ability year round.

Once the final dust layer is complete the pitch is ready for shockpad and carpet.
