JNC Premier Pitches is proud to announce the successful completion of a state-of-the-art Hockey Ireland-certified pitch at Presentation Secondary School Clonmel. Developed from a greenfield site, this project showcases our expertise in delivering elite-level sports facilities designed for performance, durability, and safety.
A Cutting-Edge Hockey Facility
Spanning 101.4m by 61m, the new pitch includes a high-specification playing surface, complete with:
✔ Specialist drainage system and soakaway to ensure optimal pitch conditions year-round.
✔ Layered construction including geotextile membrane, blinding, tarmacadam, shockpad, synthetic grass, and sand for superior playability.
✔ A dedicated spectator enclosure with a tarmacadam surface for comfortable viewing.
Secure and Professional Perimeter Fencing
To enhance both security and gameplay, we installed:
✔ 5m high Doublebeam 868 Mesh fencing behind each goal for added safety.
✔ 3m high Doublebeam 868 Mesh fencing around the pitch perimeter and spectator area.
✔ 1.2m high fencing fronting the spectator enclosure for unobstructed viewing.
✔ Multiple access points, including player and pedestrian gates, ensuring smooth movement around the facility.
Floodlighting & Infrastructure
This project also included the installation of columned floodlighting, ensuring the pitch is playable in all conditions. Additional lighting along the pedestrian walkway improves accessibility and security from the school building to the pitch.
Enhanced Player & Spectator Experience
With the addition of two goal mouths and a player dugout/shelter, the pitch meets the highest standards for both competitive and training environments.
